The A.L.L. Summer Writers and Readers Institute in Houston, Texas was a great experience for all involved. In this post we show two interviews with teacher participants and talk about their experience at the Institute and what they will take with them going forward in the classroom.
At the beginning of the institute, teachers set personal learning goals for the week and continued reflecting daily thinking about how they were meeting these goals. By stepping outside of themselves, teachers were able to understand their own writing process, and how it could help them teach their own students to write.
